CERVICOPLASTY

This is the name given to the set of procedures whose purpose is to improve the angle formed by the Mandible and the Neck or the mandibular cervical angle, giving a more youthful appearance.

Before the procedure, Dr. Yesid Cárdenas plastic surgeon will assess the quantity and quality of the skin, the presence or absence of platysmal bands, and the amount of fatty tissue present. Accordingly, it can be done:

• Liposuction: The amount of fatty tissue in the neck is reduced through small incisions, improving the neck contour.

• Mentoplasty: When the patient presents a small or poorly defined chin, this procedure can help improve the facial profile and at the same time tighten the neck skin and improve its contour.

• Cervical muscle sutures: In patients with vertical neck lines or bands, the subcutaneous dissection and suturing of the muscles cause these neck deformities to tighten and stop producing an aging appearance to the neck.
