CERVICOPLASTIA MEDELLIN
Se denomina así al conjunto de procedimientos cuya finalidad es mejorar el ángulo formado por la mandíbula y el cuello o ángulo cérvico mandibular, dando un aspecto más juvenil.
Antes del procedimiento, el Dr. Yesid Cárdenas, cirujano plástico, valorará la cantidad y calidad de piel, la presencia o no de bandas platismales, y la cantidad presente de tejido graso. Según eso se puede realizar:
• Liposucción: se reduce la cantidad de tejido graso del cuello a través de incisiones pequeñas, mejorando el contorno del cuello.
• Resección cutánea: Cuando hay exceso cutáneo severo, se puede mejorar haciendo una tracción lateral hacia la región retroauricular, cuando se hace en conjunto con una ritidoplastia o en la región central.
• Mentoplastia: Cuando el paciente presenta un mentón pequeño o mal definido, este procedimiento puede ayudar a mejorar el perfil facial y al mismo tiempo templar la piel del cuello y mejorar su contorno.
• Suturas de los músculos cervicales: En pacientes con bandas o líneas verticales del cuello, la disección subcutánea y la sutura de los músculos hacen que se tensen y dejen de producir estas deformidades del cuello que dan aspecto envejecido al cuello.
